As such, there are ways to remove stains from your vintage clothing.

Good thing that there are natural and chemical-free ways available to remove stains from your vintage clothing. They are considered to be safer with the garment and also kinder to the environment. • Bloodstains
In removing bloodstains, you can have it done by simply rubbing some plain toothpaste and then rinse well. In choosing toothpaste, choose the one that does not have any coloring or gel.
• Makeup
For any makeup stain, simply use a white bread in it. Have it rub over the stain.
• Perspiration
There are many ways for you to try to remove perspiration over your vintage clothing. Here is a list for you to check out.
- A paste or salt and water or baking soda and water would be a good choice. Have it rub into the stain and rinse it well afterwards.
– A paste of cream of tartar, crushed aspirin and water is a good combination to rub into the stain. Wait for 20 minutes and rinse it.
– Place a tablet of aspirin in water that you will wash with your garment. You can wash it by hand or machine.
– A solution of a cup of water and 1 tablespoon vinegar could also be use. Place it on the stain and rinse it well. If the solution is not that strong enough, use some undiluted vinegar and place it to the stain.
– For linen and silk clothes, perspiration stains tend to be permanent. There is no way you can remove it.
• Grease
The use of OxyClean will help you remove the stain that you have from grease. Make a paste out of it or use a spray.
• Collar Ring
Make use of mild shampoo over it. Let it stand for a couple of minutes and rinse it well.
• Rust
With boiling water prepared, stretch your garment and have it placed in it. Put some fresh lemon juice into the stained part and rinse it afterwards.
• Unknown Stain
A diluted hydrogen peroxide and a mixture of glycerin and diluted ammonia would be a good stain removal agent for your vintage clothing.
